Clairemont (also known as Clairemont Mesa) is a community within the city of San Diego, California. It takes up about 13 square miles and is located between Interstate 805 and Interstate 5. Though there aren’t any beaches in Clairemont, it’s right next to La Jolla and Pacific Beach, so residents still have access to incredible ocean views, sea breezes, and all the recreation that comes with living near an amazing beach year round. Inside the neighborhood, there is one institution of higher education, San Diego Mesa College. The University of California San Diego is just four miles north, so many students choose to live in Clairemont Mesa and commute to school.
