This week’s edition of Meet the 3D Team is about Rob Kagan, our COO. As COO, or Chief Ball Juggler as he puts it, it’s Rob’s job to make sure that 3D Apartment keeps moving forward. Rob’s daily roles include human resources, logistics, and finance making him an unparalleled multitasker. As a part of the company’s leadership, Rob also helps guide the company’s vision and direction on a greater scale. Rob is a Massachusetts native and a graduate of Brown University with a degree in economics. Before leading the 3D Apartment team, Rob was the founder of World View Graphics and Chappy Unlimited. Since 2010, he has served as the principal of Boxless Consulting. Rob also volunteers as a mentor with MassChallenge, BUILD, Code For America, and to Brown University student entrepreneurs.
Patience is the gatekeeper for both the customer journey and experience. Unsurprisingly, Rob has mastered this over his many years in the world of startups. Making the whole 3D Apartment experience user friendly is Rob’s top priority in all of this. Whether it is hopping on podcasts, walking into brokerages, or other outreach, Rob also spreads the word about 3D Apartment. Rob believes that if more people find out about our innovative platform, then more people can start saving their time and energy. To Rob, the customer journey is all about creating satisfied customers throughout all stages of their 3D Apartment experience. Furthermore, it’s about providing a platform that makes apartment searching quicker, easier, and more engaging.
Rob sees the highs and lows of running 3D Apartment across the whole the firm. He works all around the company so that our customers can be set up for success, so it is no surprise that his favorite part of working at 3D Apartment is watching all stakeholders get excited about the many aspects of the company coming together. In the moments that things do not come together, Rob always remembers that “pivoting instead of giving up” is how you create opportunities and drive a company forward.
